In a bid to build sustainable peace and engage in making the communities in which we operate in more resilient, Peace Builders has expanded to become more than just the children’s club. We have now grown to also focus on women and the youth, who are considered marginalized in many ways. Since 2018, our ethos has been: Peace is multi-faceted and not monolithic; it is communal, emotional, environmental, familial, internal, psychological, relational as well as spiritual.
This ethos outlines our myriad activities and the different demographics we now focus on. There are several peace-building programs that exist, and in order to remain relevant in a seemingly inundated space it has become imperative that Peace Builders Club morphs and evolves in the Peace Builders Program. This new direction details our what and why, plus who we work with or focus on.
